instructions carefully 1 REMOVAL INSTALL OF WINDOW REGULATOR 741 550 Chrysler Minivan Voyager Caravan Town Country 1996 2000 General Tech Tips Use painter s tape rather than duct tape to secure window It will not damage paint or leave sticky residue A plastic pry tool is useful It will not easily damage delicate trim like a screwdriver or metal pry bar The replacement regulator should have a liberal amount of grease on slide area If there is not much grease present white lithium grease works well to lubricate the slide area Aftermarket window tinting can cause the window to travel slower and put additional strain on the window regulator assembly Window run channels should be cleaned and lubricated before installation of a new window regulator assembly Silicone spray works well PLEASE door trim panel retaining screws STEP 2 Remove the master switch assembly screws from the bezel assembly STEP 3 Gently lift the master switch assembly up to expose the connectors on the back of the warnings included in the shop manual Read and follow all instructions carefully 3 STEP 4 Remove the door trim panel screw located behind the master switch assembly just behind the door handle STEP 7 Disconnect the door handle latch rod retaining clip from the door handle latch rod NOTE To disconnect the clip hold the latch rod and fi rmly push the clip toward the door STEP 5 Using a panel trim remover gently pry the door panel away from the door to release the door trim panel retaining clips The retaining clips are located on the outer edge of the door trim panel and about every 4 inches clip from the door handle latch rod NOTE To disconnect the clip hold the latch rod and fi rmly push the clip toward the door STEP 12 Disconnect the window lift motor connector STEP 9 Remove the door trim panel from the door STEP 10 Remove the water shield if so equipped STEP 11 Using your tape wedge or suction cup saddle attach to glass to keep the glass from falling inside the door Failure to do access holes NOTE DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BOLTS ALL THE WAY STEP 6 Install the courtesy lamp connector STEP 2 Attach the window lift motor to the door STEP 2a Connect the window lift motor STEP 3 Attach the window glass to the window run channels NOTE It may be necessary to temporarily connect the master switch assembly to be able to move the glass retainers into position STEP 4 Once the glass is in Install the door trim panel retaining screw located near the inside door handle STEP 8 In a downward motion re attach the door trim panel onto the inside weather strip belt STEP 9 Align the door trim
