MS7121 PT 12 0002 RABS or RWAL Low or Sinking Pedal Dodge Ford and G M Trucks with R A B S and R W A L Anti Lock Braking Systems Brake pedal low or sinking Contamination may be holding the dump valve portion of the Anti Lock Braking System open allowing the brake fluid to bypass into the accumulator and create a low or sinking brake pedal First flush and bleed the brake system thoroughly If the problem still exists perform an isolation test of the brake system as follows Begin by gently pinching off all three brake hoses If the pedal does not sink the problem is in one or more of the wheel circuits However if the pedal continues to sink disconnect the brake lines at the master cylinder and plug the outlets If the pedal sinks replace the master cylinder Next connect the rear brake line only If the pedal sinks replace the defective valve Application Problem Cause Solution
